Synopsis: An ugly break-up between two lovers takes a turn for the worst when an unexpected third party arrives and stirs things up.
Production: Slapjack is an absurdist comedy, and we decided that a stylized, impressionistic look was best suited for the material. In addition to heavy filtration and nets on the lens, vignetting was introduced in the digital intermediate in order to complete the look.
We looked for ways to utilize the diagonals of the overpass in our compositions, specifically as an oppressive graphic element towards the end of the film.
